Overview

ABOUT PRYTANEUM

Prytaneum is an open-source, highly-interactive online town hall platform powered by artificial intelligence and an innovative user interface. This town hall platform enables constructive, virtual dialogue between government officials and their constituents - creating opportunities for democratic engagement that is not available through commercially available webinar or streaming platforms.

OBJECTIVE

Since a new version of Prytaneum was currently in the works, the UI/UX team's goal was to improve existing designs to be more intuitive and user friendly.

MY ROLE

My main task was to create wireframes for the new features and revise old designs using Figma. We had bi-weekly meetings to go over the wireframes we created and discussed the feasibility of implementing them. We also received feedback from users to help us design around their needs. On occasion, we would also create wireframes for other related projects.

The Process

TIMELINE

First, we began improving the landing page for mobile and desktop and then later, revised current dashboards and other pages. We were also tasked with creating wireframes for new features which included a polling feature, pre-, post-, and intermission event pages, and more.

Prytaneum Landing Page Old (Left) & New (Right)

Since the new version of Prytaneum has not launched yet, I am unable to show all the designs and iterations we worked on. However, I would be more than happy to chat if you were interested in learning more about my work at Prytaneum! Feel free to contact me here.

There's more to UI/UX

IMPACT & WHAT I LEARNED

I feel so honored to have been able to work on this project and have this as my first real UI/UX role. I learned so much about UI/UX and realized that there's so much more that goes into the process of it. It felt super fulfilling to speak with people who were passionate about this project and how our work was valuable to improving many people's lives. Since there is no platform like Prytaneum, users would have to juggle between three to four different applications to achieve what Prytaneum does. Knowing that my work helps alleviate this stress makes me feel fulfilled as a designer and more confident that this is the path I want to continue on.

Check it out!
